Remember those
who
spilled their blood
giving their lives
for our freedom.
My heart swells with pride looking upon
the beautiful country you fought for to keep us safe and free.
I pause
when ever we remember those who sacrifice for others…
no matter what uniform they wear,
no matter in which country they reside
those in uniform put their lives on the line daily.
To all the men and women serving
and those
who have served
thank you is not enough
but
I hope it helps some.
To the families
who still brush away tears
for lost loves ones
in the service of our great nation,
thank you for your sacrifice.
If not for these brave souls
we would not enjoy the freedoms
we have today.
