Poetess, memoir writing, essays about life; these are the things I write about. I also love to cook, so you'll likely find a recipe or two in this blog. I am passionate about Nature and family, so from time to time I will share pictures-with or without poetry.

  1. The poetry lines are contrasting. The first two lines present a negative image, yet the third line has an image that could be positive depending on perspective. It is almost showing a glimpse of coolness in the heat. Presumably this was the intention and the effect came through.

As an unrelated tip, put your thermometer in the shade if it isn’t. You’ll get a more accurate number and it will, if nothing else, psychologically feel better.
